First, last Friday (June 5, 2009) – an electrical fire knocked out the service for all directions. Service resumed with residual delays. NJ Transit honored PATH Tickets. I wondered how it affected Friday rush hour.
NEWS Snippet:
The entire PATH train system was down for about an hour and a half yesterday afternoon due to a small electrical fire that knocked out power to the PATH system control room on Journal Square, officials said….

By 3 p.m., repairs had been made and the trains were rolling again, Coleman said, adding that residual delays had dissipated by the time the evening commuter rush began.
While the PATH system was not operating, NJ Transit was honoring PATH tickets on its buses, trains and Light Rail…
Today (June 7, 2009), another incident interrupted PATH Train service (Journal Square to Newark). Apparently, failure on Hackensack Bridge affected the PATH. Other PATH Trains were not affected.
