Five Corners bomb scare

Tuesday February 17, 2009, 9:57 AMCops have blocked off both sides of Hoboken Avenue from Five Corners to Central Avenue in Jersey City, The Journal’s Tom Shortell, who is on the scene, reports.
Two suspicious packages were left at the Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union on Hoboken Avenue and authorities are treating the incident as a bomb scare.
The bank and its surrounding buildings have been evacuated as the bomb squad and K-9 unit investigate.
