The overnight storm wasn’t as bad as anticipated. Journal Square didn’t receive a foot of snow. Today, past 2PM, I decided to go out and take a walk around the neighborhood despite the windy weather.

Some portions of Academy Street are still unshoveled, which made it very hard to walk. On the other side, I saw a lady cleaning up the front of her house.
Bergen Avenue was clear of snow. Good job snow plowers! :D
Local businesses on Bergen Avenue did a great job clearing up their front. Let’s see how it looks like inside the Post office…
There’s a line, but as usual, only two windows were open at that time. The Parcel window on the right was open which had a line of its own.
While businesses to the south of Bergen shovelled their front, BALLY’s seemed not to care about the inevitable ice forming on their sidewalk. (To their credit, they’re able to shovel the snow this evening)
Maintenance of Hudson County College were doing the Culinary Arts Plaza Park. It’s a huge spot, so it’s no surprise there were several of them.
Sip Avenue looking West was quiet. Not much vehicles, no people ….
Even the usually busy boulevard, south of Journal Square, was a little “timid” for a business district.
Journal Square – quiet, gray, wet, and slushy. Not really picture-perfect after a storm.
That’s all. Forecast says it’s going to be windy tomorrow so dress warmly. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Does anyone know who to call and report addresses who don’t clear their sidewalks?
When I owned a private home on Harrison, all our neighbors were up at he crack of dawn to shovel and avoid risk of lawsuits, fines, and I like to think, to be good neighbors.
