Car Break-in: Academy Street and Tuers Avenue

I heard this on my police scanner…. a car break-in at Academy Street and Tuers Avenue this morning, around 7-730 A.M.

Police said the “actor” (or the suspect) was a 23-years old black male, and he broke in using a screw-driver. He took away the victim’s navigation system (GPS) and car stereo. There are finger-prints on outside of the car so this will possibly lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Car break-ins in Journal Square (even in the entire Jersey City) is getting ridiculous. Just last week, there was also one incident on Vroom Street. On a related note, I was a victim of tire-slashing couple of years ago.

I notice that crimes of this kind happen during this season.
