I was walking around Journal Square (515-530pm) when I spotted this accident on Sip Avenue, just off of Bergen Avenue. I didn’t witness the actual collision, but the car got the worse of it.
The driver, her passenger and the bus driver were okay, and police were starting to arrive when I talked to the driver, who seem a little shaken and couldn’t believe what has transpired. She said she didn’t see the bus as it suddenly appeared and hit her car. During my conversation with her, the bus driver got off the bus and started yelling at her about something.
If you’ve been reading the news lately, you’ll notice that vehicular accidents in Jersey City seem to be rising. The last one that made the news was the Volkswagen Passat that crashed into a church on Martin Luther King Drive Jersey City.
Can’t blame these on economy.
