A Jersey City woman successfully fought off her two attackers early Saturday when she was walking from Journal Square PATH Station. She survived the sexual assault, but the attackers robbed her cellphone and purse.

…The woman, who was taken for treatment at Jersey City Medical Center for head and facial trauma, told police she noticed two men were following her along Academy Street at around 3:52 a.m., after walking from Journal Square PATH station, reports said. One of them said, “What kind of a party do you want to go to?”
She walked faster but as she turned onto Van Reypen Street, one of the men tackled her and dragged into a courtyard, reports said. She tried to push the man away, but he struck her several times in the face with a handgun, reports said…

Yesterday(11/09/2009) I was walking down to Broadway ave and near 53 Broadway, where Gulp Gas station is located, 2 black kids in their 16-17 followed me and when I looked back one guy just hit me on my face and ran away. I cold the cop but no luck. I realised Jersey City in not the place to stay, I will be moving out of Jersey city soon!!! Be aware in Jersey city if you are moving alone after 7:30AM.
