Last June, I posted that Tiffin Box on the boulevard (between Cottage Street and Newark Avenue, Jersey City) shut down after less than a year of operation.
A Journal Square resident commented that a grocery shop might replace the defunct restaurant.
The building on the photo above has been undergoing major renovations (construction and facade remodeling) the past couple of months. And last week, the blue tarp has been removed — revealing the finished front of the structure. Front door is already an automatic door and a handicap ramp was added on the side (not seen on the pic).
I haven’t looked inside the place – but it looks like the construction inside will take a couple more weeks to finish.
Anyway, good luck to the owner of this upcoming local business.

They should demolish the whole building and the adjacent one, and push back the
road and build a beautiful high rise building.
This place is now known as APNA BAZAAR.
Lots of people buy here, based on the amount of parked cars in front. APNA customers can also park at MIDAS across the street.
