The pre-winter storm yesterday (December 19th, 2009) dumped at least 15 inches of snow in Journal Square, probably 18 inches in some areas of Jersey City, and it clearly outmatched the first snow storm of the season on December 4th.
I was able to drive around and take some pictures of the neighborhood to document the aftermath of the snow storm, 2 days before the official winter….
Pictured above is a man using his snow blower to clear the sidewalk on Van Reypen Street.
On the other hand, these men at the corner of Vroom Street and Van Reypen preferred to use the shovel.
Kids were having fun in and with the snow on Tonnelle Avenue.
Meanwhile, these ladies were having a tough time clearing the front of their apartment.
The Courthouse view from the back — Pavonia Avenue and Baldwin Avenue.
The street where I live — Tuers Avenue — as pictured above, needed some serious snow plowing.
