I’m very happy that it’s come to JC. As a native New Yorker, I’m used to seeing 7-11s everywhere and had never heard of WaWa until I moved across the river. I didn’t know how much I missed that red and green sign until I saw it the other day. (^_^)

To the original poster, this is the FIRST EVER 7-Eleven in Jersey City history. There were NONE in all of Hudson County until 1998, when the first of 3 opened in Bayonne. Then there were no more until last year, when a 7-Eleven opened in West New York, at 6004 Bergenline Avenue. And then, about a month ago one opened up in Hoboken, at Washington Street & 5th Street.

Karilyn, the store opened on New Year's Eve. Before it opened, there was a sign with a phone number where you can inquire about job application. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to copy the number.
