After a severe thunderstorm that hit Jersey City (or northern NJ) yesterday, one would think that Journal Square would be extra-ordinarily untidy today. Well, I drove around, and it was the exact opposite!
Unlike yesterday when pigeons were flying around like nuts, today, they were on their regular spot: the traffic light at the intersection of Bergen Avenue and Academy Street.
More pictures inside the post!
Last week (October 19, 2008) was dirtier than today like you wouldn’t believe it.
No signs of aftermath from yesterday’s thunderstorm and gust of wind. The curbs were clean, and the trash were properly disposed of.
The sidewalk at the corner of Sip and Tonnele seems to be open to pedestrians now. Last week, it was under repair.
JFK Blvd and Newark Avenue… St. John Clock Tower (still not fixed) on the right side. The sharp blue skies serve as a very good background!
The busy India Square on Newark Avenue. Notice the colorful flags hanging on the streets? They’re decorations for their Navrati Festival, which happened first week of October. (Too bad I wasn’t able to cover it).
And for the last photo… Signs of Fall Season. Leaves of some trees turned red. Can you guess which street they are on?
Hope you enjoy these photos… will do it again next week!
