PATH Train Troubles Today (May 19, 2010 - Service Resumes)

I woke up this morning and saw my email bombarded with PATH Alerts that started last night. Apparently, there are some problems in PATH trains. All lines were suspended except the Hoboken line to 33rd St NY. News said there was signal problem (fire in the tracks), but it was already contained. NJ Transit Rail and NJ Light Rail will be cross-honoring Path Train service. That’s probably why we hear choppers early this morning.

The latest as of 7AM: Path Train system wide is resuming service with 15 minute delays, according to PATH website.

Due to a signal problem, train service on the Journal Square to 33rd Street (via Hoboken) line in both directions and the Newark to World Trade Center lins in both directions are operating with a 30 minute delay.
