Tough Economy: Retailers on Newark Avenue – Gone

I noticed this place a couple of weeks ago. This used to be a retail store that sold phone cards (we have lots of them here in Journal Square); now, the doors are locked, the store signs are gone, glass window and door are covered with old newspaper. “FOR RENT” sign posted on the window. I guess the competition is tight.

This is on Newark Avenue, just off (East) of Kennedy Boulevard. The store at the corner is still there.
