I have spent days researching verizon internet through fios and the cable provider and satellite TV options available. Does anyone actually think that traditional cable is actually better than Fios internet? It seems that there is no competition between the two when looking at network speed and TV funtionality for managing your channels.

Verizon's availability website continues to show that my street (about three blocks SE of where that picture was taken) doesn't have service. A tech that was out to rewire my apartment last autumn suggested I not hold my breath - the neighborhood had a lot of jury rigged wiring and wasn't a priority for the phone company.
