Streets closed off in Journal Square
by The Jersey Journal
Wednesday January 07, 2009, 12:10 PMFor the second day in a row, a bomb scare at the state building at Summit and Sip avenues in Jersey City’s Journal Square has led to street closures in the bustling heart of the city.
Sip Avenue is closed from Bergen to Summit avenues, while Summit is closed between Magnolia Avenue and Newkirk Street.
Compounding frustrations for the drivers and pedestrians, earlier this morning Sip Avenue at Bergen was closed because a traffic light wasn’t working and a small gas leak was reported on the same block.
