Sip Avenue taken last year (May ’08) Jersey City receives funds to repave Newark Avenue and Sip Avenue. Last year (May 2008), Sip Avenue and other portions of Journal Square were ripped up, and got a facelift (new asphalt). This time, the other side of Sip Avenue (West of JSQ) will be improved. I hope [...] Jersey Journal Building The overnight storm wasn’t as bad as anticipated. Journal Square didn’t receive a foot of snow. Today,past 2PM, I decided to go out and take a walk around the neighborhood despite the windy weather. Check out the photos inside this post. Click to view larger size. Icy walks The picture above is what you’re going to see if you go out and decide to take a walk today. It’s icy here in Journal Square, and it isn’t really wise for me to take more pictures. Make sure to take extra care when walking, as it is VERY slippery outside. Some people [...] Jersey Journal reported that there were 36 murders in Hudson County .. 27 of those occured in Jersey City, the highest count in 10 years. The report listed down the names of the victim and their addresses, and I checked if there were incidents in Journal Square. There were none. Nada.
