Academy Street and Bergen Avenue Rainy day today in JSQ, and expect more showers until late this afternoon. I went out to buy some food and thought it would be nice to capture the gloomy day using my camera phone. Hopefully, the sun will come out tomorrow so I can do my Sunday Photos of [...] Click for bigger map Remember the following dates, as United Water will be shutting off water (read news below for details): November 8, 2008 -> Newkirk Street between Summit Avenue and Baldwin Avenue, and on Summit Avenue between Academy Street and Sip Avenue. (See map above, “T”-area) November 15, 2008 -> Summit Avenue and Newkirk Street November 22, [...] After a severe thunderstorm that hit Jersey City (or northern NJ) yesterday, one would think that Journal Square would be extra-ordinarily untidy today. Well, I drove around, and it was the exact opposite! Pigeons were calmly chilling on the traffic light Unlike yesterday when pigeons were flying around like nuts, today, they were on their regular [...] Bergen Avenue-Academy Street I’m planning to post Sunday morning photos weekly, to document what’s going on in Journal Square… These photos were taken around 815AM – 830AM on a cold Sunday morning in Jersey City. More pictures if you read the rest … St. John Clock Tower Just a random thought…. The clock tower of St. John’s Church on Kennedy Boulevard is stuck at 4:30. When will they repair it? If you’re new here in Journal Square, this place is just past Newark Avenue (right side) if you’re north-bound. |
