The Journal Square Redevelopment Plan has been revised last Friday. Make that two attempted robberies and attacks in two consecutive nights: Wednesday – in the back of Loew’s Theatre just across PATH station; Thursday -at the intersection of Corbin Avenue and Pavonia Avenue, north-west of Journal Square.

Originally, the Journal Square Redevelopment Plan — dubbed as the “Vision” — covered a wider territory of our district. It was scaled down, though, after hearing what the residents have to say.

In 2008, there was zero murder here in Journal Square. Last year (2009), there were two – one in Marion Neighborhood, and the other just a couple of blocks away.
