Just got home (6:06PM) from work after an hour drive — 30 minutes just on Summit Avenue alone! The traffic is all the way to the heights area (somewhere between Carlton and Troy Avenue). I sensed something was going on when cars were moving VERY slowly as all intersections are jammed. Van Reipen and Pavonia Avenues [...] US President Barack Obama will participate tomorrow – May 5, 2011 – in a wreath-laying ceremony at Ground Zero. As a result, train services to World Trade Center (WTC) will be afffected. According to the PATH Advisory: PATH ADVISORY: Tomorrow May 5 Midday, PATH service will be suspended into the WTC for approximately one hour due [...] I woke up this morning and saw my email bombarded with PATH Alerts that started last night. Apparently, there are some problems in PATH trains. All lines were suspended except the Hoboken line to 33rd St NY. News said there was signal problem (fire in the tracks), but it was already contained. NJ Transit Rail [...] A small portion (Five Corners to Central Avenue) of Newark Avenue, Jersey City was blocked off to traffic this afternoon. When I asked what’s going on, the sheriff patrolling the area told me that nothing happened, it’s just a construction in a restaurant. Existing or a soon-to-open business, I didn’t bother to ask. But when [...] Electronic traffic advisory has been installed at the corner of Sip Avenue and Bergen informing drivers and motorists that Bergen Avenue will be closed today, October 17, 2009 from 10AM – 2PM.
