Just got home (6:06PM) from work after an hour drive — 30 minutes just on Summit Avenue alone! The traffic is all the way to the heights area (somewhere between Carlton and Troy Avenue). I sensed something was going on when cars were moving VERY slowly as all intersections are jammed. Van Reipen and Pavonia Avenues [...] Several streets in Journal Square area of Jersey City were closed this morning due to police activity responding to a bomb scare/threat at Stanley Theater (Pavonia Avenue and JFK Boulevard). Police blocked off traffic from Hoboken Avenue to Central Avenue. “…Two suspicious packages were left at the Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union on Hoboken Avenue…” On my way home around 1:15 PM, I saw no police mobiles in [...] Jersey Journal reported that there were 36 murders in Hudson County .. 27 of those occured in Jersey City, the highest count in 10 years. The report listed down the names of the victim and their addresses, and I checked if there were incidents in Journal Square. There were none. Nada. However, other crimes such as robbery, [...] State Office on Summit Avenue corner Sip Avenue There was a bomb scare again at the State Office at 438 Summit Avenue, Jersey City that led to street closures (green highlight on the map above).
