I checked out the Book Fair at Capital One Bank Journal Square branch yesterday and was surprised by the number of people who came. Kids were accompanied by their parents/guardian, and a father reading a book to her little girl.

The lady in the conference room (I assume she’s the Capital One Bank Spokewoman Kirsten Micco, sorry I forgot to ask her name) said that the table was overflowing with books the first hour of the event. Books were donated by the bank’s staff from across New Jersey.

This is the first time Capital One Bank held an event like this. When asked if they will do the book fair again, she said they’ll see how the event goes. She said a lot of Jersey City residents came, mostly kids who love children’s books.

From the looks of it, we’ll probably see a repeat.

Capital One Bank Journal Square Branch will be holding a book fair on Monday, June 29, 2009 (11AM-3PM) for book-lovers. About a hundred books will be available for free for kids, teens and adults. There is a limit of two books per person while supplies last, and all children must be accompanied by an adult, according to the news.
