Jersey City Elections 2009 are over, and the poll results show that Nidia R. Lopez convincingly beat Jimmy King (endorsed by Jersey Journal) for Jersey City Ward C Council. Lopez leads King by approximately 700 votes and collected more than 50% of the turnout, therefore, avoiding a runoff.

Election Day: No Long Lines in JSQ
In some places of Jersey City, there were long lines of voters for today’s presidential election. I’ve read stories like some people finished voting in 3 hours(!).
