A couple of Journal Square election incidents made the news this morning. At Apartments Plaza polling location at 91 Sip Avenue (cor. Enos Place), there was “some confusion over the type of politicizing that is allowed”, news said. It was resolved and the election went through.

Up north on the boulevard near Rt. 139 towards the Heights area of JC, campaign signs of Mayor Healy had been reportedly vandalized. Some signs have been sliced in the middle, and some had stickers of mugs placed over the “H” in Healy, said deputy campaign manager Craig Guy.

If you’re interested, find out the results of the elections by clicking HERE.

The other day, the Jersey Journal announced their endorsements for the city’s mayor and councilmen. Journal Square resident Jimmy King made the list.

Jimmy King is pretty popular here. He has his own civic association named after him (Jimmy King Civic Association) and they do a lot of volunteering and organizing events (such as hosting Thanksgiving Dinner and giving Christmas presents to kids) not only in Journal Square but also across Hudson County.

Below you will find Jersey Journal’s picks for this year’s election:

Mayor: Lou Manzo

Ward A: Independent Andre Richardson
Ward B: Healy running mate Philip J. Kenny
Ward C: Manzo running mate Jimmy King
Ward D: Manzo running mate James Carroll
Ward E: Incumbent and independent candidate Steven Fulop
Ward F: Independent Omar Barbour

At-large: Manzo running mate Lori Serrano and Levin running mates Andrew Hubsch and Emilio C. DeLia.
