Just got home (6:06PM) from work after an hour drive — 30 minutes just on Summit Avenue alone! The traffic is all the way to the heights area (somewhere between Carlton and Troy Avenue). I sensed something was going on when cars were moving VERY slowly as all intersections are jammed. Van Reipen and Pavonia Avenues [...] Several streets in Journal Square area of Jersey City were closed this morning due to police activity responding to a bomb scare/threat at Stanley Theater (Pavonia Avenue and JFK Boulevard). A Van Wagenen woman died after she was shot by a cop responding to a domestic dispute. What a terrible week for Jersey City as far as crime is concerned. Also posted on 07306 Forum
Romaine Avenue, Jersey City A couple of police activities here in Journal Square which I heard from my police scanner… between 630PM and 7PM, a call was made stating that there was a robbery at ___ Romaine Avenue (exact address withheld).
