Have you been around Journal Square to see the beautiful Christmas lights and decors of the houses? I took these pictures about two weeks ago, before the pre-winter snow storm hit the East Coast.

New handicap curb ramps can be seen on Sip Avenue (corners of Garrison, Romaine, and Van Wagenen Avenues). Is this part of the repaving funds that Jersey City received last March?



Attempted Robbery on Romaine Avenue

Remember the robbery on Romaine Avenue three weeks ago?

The owner of the house (let’s name him JustJoe) contacted me last night and said:

A couple of police activities here in Journal Square which I heard from my police scanner… between 630PM and 7PM, a call was made stating that there was a robbery at ___ Romaine Avenue (exact address withheld).
