Another Stabbing in Journal Square

After a late night dinner last Saturday, an 18-year old man from Vroom Street and his friend were assaulted at JFK Boulevard and Tonnele Avenue. The Vroom Street resident was stabbed three times in the back.

Do you know how many attacked them? Imagine this: around 20 males!

An 18-year-old Jersey City resident was stabbed three times in the back by a large mob after leaving a restaurant on Kennedy Boulevard Saturday evening, police reports said.

Police responded to a complaint of an assault at Kennedy Boulevard and Tonnelle Avenue Saturday at 11:47 p.m., reports said. Two victims said that they were leaving a restaurant and were jumped by around 20 males who punched and kicked them, stabbing one of them, reports said.

One of the victims, of Vroom Street in Jersey City, who complained of a sharp pain in his back and shortness of breath, had three stab wounds on the right side of his back, reports said.

The victim was treated at Jersey City Medical Center, where he was listed in a stable condition, reports said. The other victim, of 37th Street in Bayonne, had no visible signs of injury, police said.

After a severe thunderstorm that hit Jersey City (or northern NJ) yesterday, one would think that Journal Square would be extra-ordinarily untidy today. Well, I drove around, and it was the exact opposite!

Pigeons were calmly chilling on the traffic light

Unlike yesterday when pigeons were flying around like nuts, today, they were on their regular spot: the traffic light at the intersection of Bergen Avenue and Academy Street.
