The pre-winter storm yesterday (December 19th, 2009) dumped at least 15 inches of snow in Journal Square, probably 18 inches in some areas of Jersey City, and it clearly outmatched the first snow storm of the season on December 4th.

Graffiti Gone – Vroom St Jersey City
Yesterday, while walking home, I noticed the graffiti on the wall of Prudential Bank Head Office parking lot is gone. It was patched up by gray paint. Kids, next time, if you want to post something on the wall, do it on facebook instead.

Police Activity at Journal Square PATH? Relax, There’s No Crime
If you are wondering why there are so many cops at Journal Square PATH station, you probably didn’t know that today is the funeral mass for the fallen Jersey City Detective Marc DiNardo. He was shot in the face during the shootout last week and died in the hospital days later.

Journal Square Road Repair: Vroom Street
South of Journal Square, Vroom Street from Van Reypen (West) to Summit Avenue (East) has been ripped up and manholes are raised — road paving will follow soon.
“No Parking” signs have been posted, but I see cars parked on right side of the street.
I hope Jersey City starts repaving Sip Avenue soon.
